FAQ

What is included in the Cowboy Warranty?

The Cowboy Warranty covers all original bike components against defects in workmanship and materials, ensuring they match the product description in the user manual or advertisements. This includes coverage for issues that affect the bike's performance or safety due to manufacturing defects, providing riders with assurance and support for their purchase.

What does the Cowboy Warranty include for labor?

The Warranty covers labor for any mechanical or electronic repairs your bike may need, ensuring expert care without additional costs.

Are spare parts covered under the Cowboy Warranty Extension?

Yes, the extension provides comprehensive coverage for spare parts necessary for mechanical or electronic repairs, keeping your ride in top condition.

What is not covered under the Cowboy Warranty?

The warranty does not cover wear and tear after six months and the following:

  • Damage from accidents or vandalism
  • Defects from unauthorized modifications (Illegal parameters)
  • Defects from neglect of battery maintenance
  • Tire punctures
  • Frame scratches
  • Brake wear
  • Incorrect assembly/installation by the user

For full information, please check our terms and conditions.

In what countries is the Cowboy Warranty Extension available?

The Cowboy Warranty Extension is available in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Claims should be directed to Cowboy. All repairs need Cowboy's execution or approval to be covered under warranty, excluding transport costs for on-site repairs.

Does the warranty apply internationally?

Warranty obligations are limited to Cowboy shipping countries. Using the bike outside these designated countries may void the warranty.

What happens if I use unauthorized modifications on my Cowboy bike?

Using unauthorized modifications or third-party apps to alter your bike's performance, such as increasing the electric assistance beyond the EU's legal limit of 25 km/h, voids the warranty for the motor, torque sensor, battery, and controller. These alterations compromise the bike's integrity and safety standards.

How should I handle warranty claims and repairs for my Cowboy bike?

For any warranty claims or necessary repairs, please contact Cowboy directly. All repairs must be authorized or conducted by Cowboy to ensure coverage under your warranty. While replacement parts and repair labor costs are covered, any transportation expenses for on-site repairs or travel to and from a service point will be the responsibility of the bike owner.

When must I purchase the Cowboy Warranty Extension?

Normally the extension must be purchased while you are still within your original warranty period to be eligible. For a limited time only (until 17th March) you can purchase this if you are out of your warranty period.

Is the Warranty or extension available for bikes purchased through Cowboy Circular?

No, bikes obtained through Cowboy Circular are not eligible for the Warranty extension.

Can I purchase the Warranty Extension more than once?

The Warranty Extension is limited to one purchase per customer, ensuring fair access to extended coverage for all eligible riders.

Does the warranty stay valid if I sell my Cowboy bike to someone else?

Yes, the warranty is transferable and remains valid even if the bike changes ownership, ensuring the bike maintains its quality and reliability for the new owner.

Will my warranty extension cover me if I purchase it while having an open issue with my Cowboy bike?

No, purchasing a warranty extension while there is an unresolved issue with your Cowboy bike, which has already been reported to the Cowboy team, will not cover the existing problem under the new warranty period. All issues must be resolved under the terms of your original warranty before an extension can effectively provide coverage for future concerns.
